Great feedback from our picnic at the zoo! We talked a lot about how we can better engage you and to get more of you to particpate. Are we promoting the right events? Do we need to have open KSSA meetings in which all students can come on a regular basis? What does a social work student council really exist for? WE WANT YOU TO TELL US WHAT YOU WANT!
At the zoo, people said we should:
- Promote more social justice activities (rallying, lobbying, picketing, etc)
- Get faculty involved in making classroom announcements
- Work to break down the walls that exist between degree programs
(MSW,BSW, Phd, etc) to facilitate a community of social workers
Great ideas...but what do you people who were not able to come to picnic think?
