In case you were not aware, 27 MSSW and BSW students and 3 faculty from the Kent School of Social Work took a trip down south for spring break - but not for the same reason most college students do.
No - the Kent School group has gone to New Orleans as part of a Service Learning course called "Kent in New Orleans, the Gulf Coast and Points In-Between."
The trek to help others still in need after Hurricane Katrina began on March 9th. On the way down to the Gulf Coast, the folks will stop by Birmingham, AL for a "civil rights tour."
